A: Your Opperating System (OS) is infected with the blaster worm, To solve the problem:
i) Update your anti-virus and make sure that the latest version provides security against blaster.
ii) Turn on the firewll option on your dialup connection. (Network Connection > Right Click Connection name > Properties > Advanced (Last tab) > check the "internet connection firewall")
iii) Download a blaster patch form Microsoft's website and run it.
iiii) Download a blaster removal tool from the net. FixBlast is available at the link provided at the and of this Answer.
Manual: Try this only when automated tools are not available
v) Stopping Blaster from loading Start > Run > Regedit. Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current\Version\Run and delete the entry for Blaster
vi) To Prevent restarting due to Blaster:
a) Start > Run > SERVICES.MSC /S.
b) In the left Pane "Service (Local)" would appear, Or click services and Applications, and then select services. Once selected, select Remote procedure Call (RPC) service in the right pane.
c) Right-Click > Properties > Recovery > Change First Failure, Secone Failure, and Subsequent failures list options from "Restart the Computer" To "Restart the Service"
Restore the default settings once you are sure that Blaster is removed.
vii) in a emergency you can also press ALT+CTRL+DEL and bring up the windows task manager select Blaster.exe (Or some other self-explanatory name) and click 'End Process'. This is a temporary relief only. Also, make sure you check your startup items for suspicious entries (like Blaster) to check that, go Start > Run > MSCONFIG and select the start-Up tab.
